Project “POPUP: a virtual tour of the master's furniture”
The Popup project takes an interactive approach to some pieces by Daciano da Costa. An easy-to-access method that makes it possible to view objects in 3D format was created, without requiring their physical presence. This method refers to augmented reality technology, which in this case, uses a camera and a set of image markers.
Each furniture piece was analyzed and virtually modeled and applied to this process. The result of this project was the digital assembly and print of a catalog that includes images and information related to each piece. This catalog is digitaly available in the following link.
A prototype of a mobile application was also developed with Unity and Vuforia, that interacts with the contents of the catalog using the device camera. The mobile app, a set of the target images and a tutorial are available for download in the following google drive link. This mobile app was built for Android Devices from 2015 or more recent.
