Rui Ferrão

Plywood chair designed to be assembled with only wood joints, no nails or screws. A first version was composed of two legs, a seat and a backrest. For a later version, the seat was hollowed, leaving only a frame with holes around it. A rope was used to weave the seat piece making it more confortable, flexible and lighter. To finish, a layer of wood sealer was applied followed by a layer of varnish.

This prototype was accomplished with a CNC machine in 2021 - 2022.
